What a glorious Easter Sunday in Atlanta. Spring has temporarily turned back into winter, but the sun is out and the promise of new life abounds!
I’m feeling a little better on this Easter. After a week of lows, I’ve had a couple of better days. I’ve learned to give thanks for every day of health.
I’m off to church to celebrate the most significant aspect of our Christian faith—the Resurrection which validates the claims of Christ and gives hope for the future. Never before has Easter had so much significance for me as this year!
I've shared a few words in another "Along the Journey" column.
Have a glorious day.

Easter is always a wonderful celebration of God's grace, but probably never so meaningful before as this one. Knowing your faith gives an extra measure to all of us. We join you in prayer and thanksgiving, and wanted you to know that you are loved and an inspiration to us all.

Jack, thank you for sharing with all of us "Along the Journey." I know this Easter was a special day for you...because that is our hope! Your faith has certainly been a testimony to all of us. God bless you, we love you and we will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Jack,
You are my hero. So much of what is good in my life is because so many years ago you were my youth minister. In fact, you are the man I still consider my pastor, which lets that other preacher in my life, be just my dad. My teen years, my college experience, my marriage - you were a part of them all and they were better for it. I love you and I am deeply grateful that you have been in my life.
Hijack! Years ago, I had a new car. It was full of power and I tested it using the fast lane to see HOW FAST it could go. After some 10 years, I used the slow lane to see HOW FAR it could go. Interesting things about this life that the LORD God has created. When you are young, it would give lots of speed, now I am reaching my 50s and feeling that perhaps distance matters. Perhaps later, I would sing like what the Apostle Paul wrote, "I have fought the good fight and now going to just finish the race". Take care and I'll be praying. Missed that fatherly hug and friendly pat. Give my regards to Anita. Hope to be able to see you guys soon.
