Words from a husband on his anniversary

Jack's having a better day today (Saturday) than he's had in the last few. It may be in part because the medicines are beginning to get stabilized. Or that his children are in town for the weekend. Or that he's just in the mood to celebrate - it is his and Anita's 44th anniversary!

He's let us all in to glimpse that celebration of marriage, with his own words: Click here to read them or go to http://alongthejourneywithjack.blogspot.com.

Happy Anniversary, Anita and Jack!

Dear Dr. Jack & Anita,
I know from your Anniversary message that it was a special day for both of you! You have both been such an inspiration to us and so many others because you were always there with us in any capacity. I am remembering HAB on Broadways, getting everyone together, rehearsals & cleaning up between shows! We always felt like family. You are so loved and cherished.

Hi Jack and Anita. Congratulation! It's also blessings and best wishes from me over here in Singapore. Nothing like a dash of happiness and joy as part of your current medication. Keep us posted. At TRBC Singapore, we still uphold both of you in prayers. Hoping that you can pass this way again.

Dear Jack,
I've been praying, and asking others to pray, for you and your family. Our son, Jim, works for the IMB and they have had prayers for you as well. We're all in this together and help each other as brothers and sisters when the hard times come. Do hope you get the hospice you want. My husband and I volunteer with a hospice and know the support you will receive.
We'll keep prayers lifted for you as the Father directs us.

Dear Jack and Anita,
Stephen and I so appreciated the time that we had with you in Atlanta during re-orientation. You are both in our prayers. We have appreciated the ministry you have had in our lives even though we were not in your area.
Love,
Angela and Stephen

Jack and Anita - congratulations on 44 years! I was merely a child when you first married.I guess you had been married about 10 years when you came to Avondale Estates. I was getting married about that time, but first we had that great trip out west on the church's new (old) greyhound super scenic cruiser. The Aikens, the Rauschenbergs and the Snells! Throw in Truett Gannon and you are set for trouble. We did have a wonderful time on that trip - saw places I've never seen since.

Although I wish it were under happier circumstances, you are on a journey right now. Thanks for sharing your trip and your life with me. Love, Sonny Miller

Jack and Anita,

Dianne and I remember that wonderful June 1, 1963 when on our first anniversary we flew to Birmingham to attend your wedding. Subsequently, every year when we celebrate ours we always remember and celebrate yours.

You have meant so much to us and we treasure those times over the years when we could be together. I always say that no matter how long it has been we pick up in mid sentence as though we were never apart.

Our best wishes and prayers are with you on this anniversary especially and know that we love you both very much.

Your lifelong friend,

Doug Aiken

Dear Jack and Anita,
A belated congratulations and happy anniversary wish! You two have been an inspiration to us and so many others. Jack, your tribute to Anita was absolutely beautiful. You are a terrific team and you truly compliment each other in every way. The love and devotion you have for each other is so evident in all that you do.

We are thankful that you have gotten some relief from pain, and pray for your comfort. I'm so glad that Stephanie and Henry were with you last weekend, and I'm sure Charley will have many experiences to share with you.
We love you, pray for you, and thank God for the whole Snell family. You are a gift to us!
Love from the Griswolds to the Bumbles!

Jack and Anita,
Happy Anniversary!!! Our 19th was on the 4th of June. We pray that we have 44 years together. We know it is never enough but life is so precious and so finite, we hope to serve and love 44 years like you have had together.
Know that we love you and appreciate the tremendous support you have been to the four of us the last 8 years we have known you. Jack we pray for peace for your body, soul, and mind.

The kids want Uncle Jack to know that they love you. We won't call because we know you don't need to converse to everyone who wants to talk to you.

We love you both so much,
Monica and Jim Rich

Hello, Jack and Anita ...
This, like some other entries here, is a belated Happy Anniversary. What a beautiful tribute! and ... What a beautiful life you have shared. Shared is the operative word there ... because you have not only shared life together and with your children ... but with so many of us who have been blessed to cross pathways with you. You are both "gifts" to so many lives. God bless you .... on anniversary days ... and all days.

To Jack and Anita - A belated anniversary wish. Anita sang this at a wedding at AFB some 35 years ago and I was blown away. I think it perfectly describes your life together. Much love and my prayers are with you both...

More than the greatest love the world has known,
This is the love I'll give you
Alone
More than the simple words
I've tried to say,
I'll only live to love you
More each day
More than you'll ever know,
My arms long to hold you so
My life will be in your keepin,'
Walkin'... sleepin'... laughin'... weepin.'
Longer than always is a long, long time,
But far beyond forever,
You'll be mine
I know I've never lived before,
And my heart is very sure
No one else could love you more.

dearest Jack and Anita,

I so enjoyed reading your tribute to Anita for your anniversary. It is a genuine example of a team put together by God to glorify Him in a life well lived.
I treasure the time spent in Singapore with you and Anita. You have been an example to many.
Who are we to understand how life works sometime, but Michael W. Smith had it right when he said "friends are friends forever, if the Lord is the lord of them"
I count it a privelege to have spent time with the two of you, and I will treasure the memories always.
I pray for your comfort and times with friends and family.
Love
Marianne Gruzlewski and family
